Can I enter rotations per minute directly?

Yes. RPM and revolutions per hour are available as input units and converted to hertz first.

Why is the period zero for zero frequency?

A zero-frequency input is rejected because period = 1 / frequency is undefined.

Limits and interpretation

  • The conversion assumes a steady periodic signal and does not describe waveform shape, phase, or harmonic content.
  • Rotational and angular conversions use the standard factors 60 and 2 pi; gear ratios or motor poles are not modeled.
