Key presses are grouped by run and capped at four for keys 7 and 9; a space separates letters that share a key.
Limits and interpretation
- The converter follows the traditional multi-tap mapping; predictive T9 dictionaries and autocorrect are not modeled.
- Only A-Z letters and spaces convert; digits, punctuation, and accented letters are rejected in text-to-T9 mode.
